About

My journey to becoming a therapist has been profoundly shaped by my own experiences, relationships, and the challenges I've navigated along the way. Expressing emotions in a healthy way wasn’t always the norm. I witnessed the weight of unresolved feelings and came to understand how important it is to explore and understand our inner worlds. This experience sparked my passion for helping others navigate and unpack their emotional experiences.

As I embarked on my professional path, I found myself in a variety of settings—psychiatric intensive outpatient, community mental health, and private practice. Each environment offered rich insights and a chance for growth. In the intensive outpatient and community settings, I encountered a tapestry of human struggles, which taught me the importance of flexibility and adaptability in my approach. Private practice, on the other hand, provided the space for deeper, more individualized work with clients.

As someone who wears many hats—parent, spouse, daughter, friend, sister, and therapist—I truly understand how balancing the demands of family, work, relationships, personal goals, and self-care can feel overwhelming. I understand firsthand how these pressures can impact how we relate to ourselves and others, and often become more intense during times of change, triggering anxiety, depression, or a sense of lost identity. It may also bring to light the need to heal from past wounds or strengthen current relationships.

I believe in a personalized, eclectic approach to therapy, ensuring that treatment is tailored to each individual’s unique needs and readiness for change. I encourage clients to share their stories at their own pace while gently challenging them with compassion to help them reach their goals.
